Premiere Stimhack Invitational Fact Sheet

The PSI Games

On Sunday, October 11, Stimhack will be hosting our second invitational OCTGN tournament, with registration open to Regional Champions, National Champions, and ANRPC circuit finals winners. The PSI games will feature the best of the best of Netrunner facing off against one another for a cash prize, live streamed on twitch with live commentary at www.twitch.tv/stimhacked with raffle giveaways for our viewers. World Champion Dan D’Argenio (@mediohxcore), along with two-time regional champions Dien Tran (@d1en) and Jesse Vandover (@dashakan) will be live commentating the event.

If you’ve managed to hack your way to the top of a Regional, National, or ANRPC Championship this year and are interested in participating, please sign up at http://goo.gl/forms/JEPxu4Kdkl. Signups will be open until decklists are due on Saturday October 10 at 11AM EDT. You can submit your decklists here: http://goo.gl/forms/YCrkGlcISv.

Cards up to Data & Destiny will be legal.

In order to keep the event time reasonable for players across the world, and making the stream as interesting as possible, the format of the event will be double elimination.

Stimhack will be accepting donations to help fund the prize pool and cover the costs of running the tournament. If you’d like to support us, please visit http://stimhack.com/about/ and click the donate button. Stimhack and the ANRPC are community operations that do not operate at a profit, so if you can, please help us out so we can continue running the best possible events!

The Top 8 players will receive one ANRPC Wood Jinteki: Replicating Perfection ID card and one ANRPC Acrylic Near-Earth Hub ID card. First place will receive a cash prize of at least $200 and Second place will receive a cash prize of at least $50. If we receive over $250 in donations for the event, the total will be distributed to 1st and 2nd as cash prizes split 80%-20%.

OFFICIAL RULES:

Decklists are due on Saturday October 10 at 11AM EDT. You can submit your decklists here: http://goo.gl/forms/YCrkGlcISv. The tournament will begin and round 1 pairings will be posted on Sunday October 11 at 11AM EDT.

Cards up to Data & Destiny will be legal.

The format will be double elimination. Byes will be assigned randomly to players in the first round to fill the bracket. Rounds will be 50 minutes long and follow 2 extra turn timeout rules and ties broken by sudden death.

In the case where each player has played each side the same amount of times, an OCTGN coin flip will determine who chooses side.

At the start of each round, we will post pairings, the end time of the round, and the start time of the next round on a forums.stimhack.com thread dedicated to tournament announcements.

The player displayed on the top of the bracket will make an OCTGN game with their opponent’s name as the title of the game. The player displayed on the bottom of the bracket will look for their game. The bracket will be powered by challonge.com.

Spectators should be ALLOWED for all games, but players in the tournament are forbidden from spectating any matches. This is necessary for us to be able to intervene as judges in rules disputes or time-outs.

If a player disconnects, it must be reported to the tournament organizer with a screenshot. If the player reconnects within the two minute time limit OCTGN provides, play will resume normally. If they do not, they will forfeit the game they were playing, unless the disconnect occurs within 10 minutes of the start of the round and is deemed unintentional, in which case play will resume with the disconnected player receiving a game loss only if the game goes to time. Any disconnect not due to connection will be considered a forfeit of the game.

In the event of any rules disputes, we encourage the players to work things out among each other. Because this is considered a premier-level event, take backs need not be allowed, though if no hidden information of any kind is revealed or if the mistake is due to the OCTGN interface, it is encouraged that players DO extend that courtesy to their opponents. If any dispute cannot be worked out by the players, you can take a screenshot and contact the tournament organizers via PM on OCTGN for a ruling.

Match results will be reported by both players.

Any questions can be directed towards Dan D’Argenio, either by emailing [email protected] or by posting or PMing in the Stimhack forums.

We are looking forward to an awesome event for both the players and the viewers. A big thank you to everyone who is participating, everyone who is helping to organize the event, and who will watch the tournament broadcast on twitch! This wouldn’t have been possible without all of you.

Good luck!
