Draft Write Up Part 3: The Corp Pack 3

Continued from Part 2. Go read Part 1 and Part 2 if you have not already.

I still want to really focus on agendas since that is an area where I continue to need work.

Below is a log of how my corporate draft went. By default it will show what SneakySly thinks of the pack, to see what I ended up picking and why, click “Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”. Enjoy, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

PACK  3 PICK 1

[one_fourth]
    • Janus 1.0
    • Tyrant
    • Power Grid Overload
    • Sunset
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Enigma
    • Chilo City Grid
    • Project Vitruvius
    • Melange Mining Corporation
    • Woodcutter
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Archived Memories
    • Net Police
    • Hedge Fund
    • Shipment from Kaguya
    • Encryption Protocol
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Aggressive Secretary
    • Neural Emp
    • Goverment Contracts
    • Hedge Fund
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”]  The last melange! This seems like a real gift to Anthony. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Melange Mining Corp

Vitruvius, Hedge Fund and Melange are the top picks here. Taking Melange and having the only 2 in the cube seems insane so I take it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 2

[one_fourth]
    • Government Contracts
    • Hunter
    • Cell Portal
    • Edge of World
    • Chilo City Grid
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Hourglass
    • Research Station
    • Chimera
    • Sea Source
    • False Leads
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Posted Bounty
    • Edge of World
    • Power Grid Overload
    • Green Level Clearance
    • Fetal A.I.
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Matrix Analyzer
    • Government Contracts
    • False Lead
    • Net Police
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”]  A really weak pack. I would take whichever agenda is most appropriate and not look to wheel much. The other potential pick would be Hourglass because of Anthony’s identity. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Government Contracts

This pack is full of unplayable garbage, however, I do need agendas still so I take a Government Contracts.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 3

[one_fourth]
    • Wall of Thorns
    • SanSan City Grid
    • Dedicated Server
    • Marked Accounts
    • Amazon Industrial Zone
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • TMI
    • Snowflake
    • Mandatory Upgrades
    • Experiential Data
    • Uroboros
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]

    • Heimdall 1.0
    • Draco
    • Chimera
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sunset
    • Aggressive Negotiation
    • Posted Bounty
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”]  There is only one SanSan in the entire cube. That said, if Anthony’s deck needs more ICE Uroboros is the best for him. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • SanSan City Grid

SanSan is an extremely powerful upgrade and a one of in the cube. Nothing else in this pack seems particularly close to that power level, so I take it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 4

[one_fourth]
    • Fetal A.I.
    • Tyrant
    • Pad Campaign

    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Freelancer
    • Closed Accounts
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Anthony needs more agendas, and Braintrust or Hostile Takeover is the way to go.  [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Hostile Takeover

Here I am taking a Hostile Takeover, hoping to play 2 one pointers and 2 three pointers in my deck keeping it down to 10 agendas. Hoping that a Snare, Pad Campaign or Braintrust come back.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 5

[one_fourth]
    • Janus 1.0
    • Tyrant
    • Power Grid Overload
    • Sunset
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]

    • Woodcutter
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Archived Memories
    • Net Police
    • Shipment from Kaguya
    • Encryption Protocol
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Aggressive Secretary
    • Neural Emp
    • Goverment Contracts
    • Hedge Fund
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Enigma is the best peice of ICE here and Hedge Fund is the best economy card. I think Hedge Fund is generally probably more important, but at this stage it really depends on the cards previously drafted. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Hedge Fund

Hedge Fund or Enigma are the choices here. I pick up Hedge Fund, In hindsight, I think this was a mistake and Enigma would have been the correct choice.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 6

[one_fourth]
    • Hunter
    • Cell Portal
    • Edge of World
    • Chilo City Grid
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Hourglass
    • Research Station
    • Chimera
    • Sea Source
    • False Leads
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Posted Bounty
    • Edge of World
    • Power Grid Overload
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Government Contracts
    • False Lead
    • Net Police
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Everything I said before still applies, Hourglass or agendas.[/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Chimera

Here I pick up a Chimera and I think it is correct at the time, in hindsight I would prefer the hourglass.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 7

[one_fourth]
    • Dedicated Server
    • Marked Accounts
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • TMI
    • Snowflake
    • Mandatory Upgrades
    • Experiential Data
    • Uroboros
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Woodcutter
    • Amazon Industrial Zone
    • Heimdall 1.0
    • Draco
    • Chimera
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sunset
    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”]  For ICE I like Uroboros best and Heimdall second. Economy wise another Marked Accounts also seems strong. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Heimdal 1.0

I sit and look at this pack a long time before deciding on Heimdal. Marked accounts will not wheel and I really want it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 8

[one_fourth]
    • Fetal A.I.
    • Pad Campaign
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Project Junebug
    • Hunter
    • Neural Emp
    • Snare
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sensei
    • Braintrust
    • Executive Retreat
    • Ghost Branch
    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Freelancer
    • Closed Accounts
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Well looks like the Braintrust is still there, assuming Anthony needs agendas still that is clearly the pick. If he is already good on agendas then a card like PAD Campaign or SNARE would be my other two picks. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Pad Campaign

This is about the point I notice people are taking any ice they can get their hands on. Someone picked a tyrant very early in this pack and my mind was blown. Having said that, Pad Campaign is perfect for my deck and an easy pick here.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 9

[one_fourth]
    • Janus 1.0
    • Tyrant
    • Power Grid Overload
    • Sunset
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Chilo City Grid
    • Woodcutter
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Net Police
    • Shipment from Kaguya
    • Encryption Protocol
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Aggressive Secretary
    • Neural Emp
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Encryption is pretty reasonable in Replicating Perfection, especially as Anthony has picked up others and has several assets it can protect. Hourglass is also pretty good with Replicating Perfection though, and I think it is probably the correct choice. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Encryption Protocol

Well, I want the third Encryption Protocol and take it, I will not really miss too many cards from this pack. I should have at least considered Hourglass more seriously as it is a great taxing ice for my identity.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 10

[one_fourth]
    • Hunter
    • Edge of World
    • Chilo City Grid
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Research Station
    • Sea Source
    • False Leads
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Edge of World
    • Power Grid Overload
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Government Contracts
    • False Lead
    • Net Police
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] False Leads or Government Contracts are both fine agendas. I think False Leads works well with the Replicating Perfection identity.[/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Government Contracts

A Pretty Meh pack, I take another Government Contracts but I am not happy about it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 11

[one_fourth]
    • Dedicated Server
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • TMI
    • Snowflake
    • Mandatory Upgrades
    • Experiential Data
    • Uroboros
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Amazon Industrial Zone
    • Chimera
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sunset
    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] I don’t know how that Uroboros is still in this pack.[/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Uroboros

Uroboros has some strong synergy with my identity and this pack is basically empty so I am somewhat happy to take it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 12

[one_fourth]
    • Fetal A.I.
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Project Junebug
    • Neural Emp
    • Snare
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Braintrust
    • Ghost Branch
    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Freelancer
    • Closed Accounts
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] Wow Braintrust coming back must mean that no one needs Agendas anymore. Outside of agendas I think SNARE is the strongest card in the pack. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Braintrust

Braintrust came back! I did not expect this at all so I pick it up happily here.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 13

[one_fourth]
    • Tyrant
    • Power Grid Overload
    • Hourglass
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Chilo City Grid
    • Woodcutter
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Net Police
    • Shipment from Kaguya
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Aggressive Secretary
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] I think Hourglass was the right choice last time around, and that is even more so the case now. Anthoy should really take Hourglass.[/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Aggressive Secretary

I am happy to take a second trap card here for my server spam deck. Aggressive Secretary is quite good here and I am happy to have it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 14

[one_fourth]
    • Chilo City Grid
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sea Source
    • False Leads
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Edge of World
    • Power Grid Overload
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • False Lead
    • Net Police
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] False Leads was my choice for the last pick, so I stand by it again.[/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • False Leads

Nothing Here that I wanted and False leads does something so I hate draft it.

[/pane] [/accordion]

PACK  3 PICK 15

[one_fourth]
    • TMI
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Snowflake
    • Mandatory Upgrades
    • Experiential Data
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Sunset
[/one_fourth] [one_fourth]
    • Aggressive Negotiation
[/one_fourth] [accordion] [pane title=”SneakySly Speculation and Analysis”] For anything but Replicating Perfection I would take Experiential data. For Anthony I would consider Snowflake as a bad Ice Wall. [/pane] [pane title=”Display Anthony’s Pick and Analysis”]
    • Sunset

I took Sunset here because I have one cell portal, however it is not going to be particularly strong.

[/pane] [/accordion]

Last Five Picks of Pack 3

These were my last five picks for pack three, as you can see the card quality gets pretty low at this point:

Pack 3 Pick 16: Closed Accounts

Pack 3 Pick 17: Net Police

Pack 3 Pick 18: Net Police

Pack 3 Pick 19: Aggressive Negotiations

Pack 3 Pick 20: Ghost Branch

Now that the last pack is drafted I can build my final corporation decklist:

Jinteki: Replicating Perfection

Ice: 17

  • Heimdall 1.0 x2
  • Chimera x2
  • Caduceus x3
  • Enigma x2
  • Uroboros x2
  • Cell Portal
  • Neural Katana
  • Wall of Thorns
  • Tollbooth
  • Ice Wall
  • Pop-Up Window

Agendas: 10

  • Braintrust x2
  • Private Security Force x2
  • Government Contracts x2
  • Breaking News
  • Hostile Takeover
  • Accelerated Beta Test
  • Project Vitruvius

Upgrades and Assets: 14

  • Melange Mining Corp x2
  • Encryption Protocol x3
  • Aggressive Secretary x2
  • Pad Campaign x2
  • Private Contracts
  • SanSan City Grid
  • Marked Accounts
  • Dedicated Server
  • Red Herrings

Operations:4

  • Green Level Clearance x2
  • Hedge Fund
  • Archived Memories

Total Cards: 45

I am actually very happy with this corporation deck and think it has a great balance of economy ice and score-able agendas with good effects. A few picks here and there could have really changed this deck into a monster, but it seems quite functional for now.
